PINNACLE AWARDS – WINNING CONNECTIONS

Recognizing marketing excellence in Rochester 

GUIDELINES

  • Collateral and campaigns submitted must have been in market in 2019
  • Submitters may enter the same collateral and/or campaigns to multiple categories
  • Marketer of the Year does not require a submission

Criteria

  • Submissions are judged on a 50-point scale, weighted evenly across the following categories: background, objectives, strategy, creative and results
  • Submissions are judged by an out-of-state AMA Chapter to avoid bias

Costs

  • $60 – AMA Member Price
  • $85 – Non-Member Price

How to Prepare

Upon entering the submission portal, you will be asked to provide 3 main items.

  1. First, in text box format you'll provide commentary on 5 categories (no additional write-up upload required):
    • BACKGROUND  Please provide us with the details for the background of the tactic/campaign. Be clear and concise in your details.
    • OBJECTIVES - Please provide us with the goals of your tactic/campaign. Be clear and concise in your details.
    • STRATEGY - Please provide us with the details of the thought process that went into the tactic/campaign. Be clear and concise in your details.
    • CREATIVE - Please provide us with the details of your creative and what the strategy was when assembling the creative. Please be sure to include the creative in your submission as well. Be clear and concise in your details.
    • RESULTS - Please be brief, specific and measurable in your answers. This area should include metrics and other performance indicators as they relate to your objectives. The information provided here will be used during the Pinnacle Awards event as applicable. Be clear and concise in your details.
  2. Upload Slide for Awards Presentation
    • Choose one simple piece of artwork, a logo, an ad or a brochure cover to be used on screen and in the awards booklet if your entry is a finalist. Use the slide template to include the title, client name and agency name for your entry. [Download the template in the guidelines section of the portal]
  3. Upload Support Files and Graphics 
    • Upload up to 5 supporting documents for your entry (brochure, report on web traffic, to show implementation and results etc.) The number of documents do not carry any weight when judging the campaign. File formats may include pdf, doc, docx, jpg, jpeg, gif, mp3, mp4, zip, png, wav, mov, ppt, avi, mpg, key.
