Tell us a little bit about yourself! Where do you work? What do you do? Where are you from?
I am currently the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at The Bonadio Group, a top 50 national accounting firm. I've been with TBG for nearly four years and love it! I'm originally from Rochester, went to St. Bonaventure for college, and then returned back home. I live in downtown Rochester and am obsessed with it!
How did you get involved with AMA | Rochester?
I was an active member of our collegiate AMA chapter at St. Bonaventure, serving as the President during my senior year. Our current AMA | Rochester President, Nikki, reached out to me about the opportunity to join the board last year. It's been a great experience!
Why did you originally enter the field of marketing? What excites you about the marketing industry?
As a marketing and communications professional, I love being able to synthesize information for different audiences and make an impact on clients, employees, and the public. I've always enjoyed writing and being able to do that regularly as a part of my career has been so rewarding. Over the last decade, it's been great to see how mar/comms has been included in leadership decisions and a growing part of the c-suite in many organizations. The value of mar/comms only continues to be recognized more and more.
What are some of your favorite things about the greater Rochester area?
The food and beverage scene in Rochester is arguably the best in Upstate NY. We have incredible breweries, wineries, unique restaurants, historical favorites, and more.
